A resolutely apolitical biopic inspired more by "Coal Miner's Daughter" than the class struggle in Brazil. Despite this, it is still worth seeing for its commitment to the cause of the 99% in Brazil.

Excluding the political aspect of the whole deal, this movie about a simple boy who rises to become someone important has high production values, considering it's a Brazilian movie. The movie seems taylor-made to make you cry, or at least be moved by the final scenes.
