This movie is so tragic but so beautiful. Gary Oldman is perfect. One of my favorite scenes is the flashback during the debut of the 9th Symphony, he doesn't realize that the song is stopped and so someone must prompt him to turn around. He turns around to find a standing ovation. What a beautiful scene. I am distantly related to the guy who wrote this "story" up. It would be cool if it were actually true.

Un acteur incroyable qui interprète un compositeur que j'admire, quoi demander de mieux ? Inutile de dire que la musique est excellente.

Gary Oldman disappears in this role and channels Beethoven. Granted, I have no video proof of Ludwig, but he touches a void and fills it.

It's impossible to see this film and not fall in love with Gary Oldman. His passion and energy are so electric... he just pulls you into the (supposed) life of Beethoven.

Beautiful film, that's as much as I need to say. One of my favorite movies of all time.
