Two whimsical, aimless thugs harass and assault women, steal, murder, and alternately charm, fight, or sprint their way out of trouble. They take whatever the bourgeoisie holds dear, whether it's cars, peace of mind, or daughters. Marie-Ange, a jaded, passive hairdresser, joins them as lover, cook, and mother confessor. She's on her own search for seemingly unattainable sexual pleasure.

ben Ã§a alors, je l'avais dÃ©jÃ notÃ©.. alors que franxhemebt je l'ai regardÃ© vraiment en entier. c'est le genre de film qui cherche Ã bousculer, choquer donc c'est toujours dur de dire ce qu'on en a pensÃ©..il Ã©voque bien l'errance de ces jeunes des 70s mais atteint aussi ses limites ceci dit en le regardant vraiment, j'ai augmentÃ© ma note

Don't listen to anybody French who tells you it's impossible to appreciate this movie if you're not. Blier's great gift is turning the everyday on its head: you find yourself and laughing uncontrollably at a rape, crying copiously at a wedding and suddenly finding your perceptions of what is and is not acceptable uncomfortably shifting...

Yet another Bertrand Blier is it smutty art or just plain porno situation. Well made beyond a shadow of a doubt. If only so much talent wasn't poured into offensiveness even if it eventually u-turns back to some sort of sanity. Oh the dangers of post-modern gender ambiguities.

Quite simply, this a gift from Blier - an extraordinary filmmaker. And to witness the dawning of mammoth French screen stars - including a stunning Depardieu, the beauty of Miou-Miou and the great Huppert (joined a decade later in "Entre Nous") and...and...the legendary, incandescent JEANNE MOREAU is just miraculous. And throughout, underscored with the genius of StÃ©phane Grappelli's music!
