Two whimsical, aimless thugs harass and assault women, steal, murder, and alternately charm, fight, or sprint their way out of trouble. They take whatever the bourgeoisie holds dear, whether it's cars, peace of mind, or daughters. Marie-Ange, a jaded, passive hairdresser, joins them as lover, cook, and mother confessor. She's on her own search for seemingly unattainable sexual pleasure.

I can see why they won't make these type of films be filmed in Hollywood. That's why most European films achieve success!

Jesus, how did Miou miou get so sexy? Going places may not be very heady, but it's fun.

Quite simply, this a gift from Blier - an extraordinary filmmaker. And to witness the dawning of mammoth French screen stars - including a stunning Depardieu, the beauty of Miou-Miou and the great Huppert (joined a decade later in "Entre Nous") and...and...the legendary, incandescent JEANNE MOREAU is just miraculous. And throughout, underscored with the genius of StÃ©phane Grappelli's music!
