E daí os macacos vêm para o planeta Terra. De exóticos, passam a figura popular. A inteligência dos chimpanzés encanta o público até o momento em que eles resolvem ter um filho. Muitas dúvidas surgem sobre o futuro da humanidade. Questionamentos interessantes sobre o poder que o Estado tem em controlar o futuro da sociedade.

I like this film just as much as the first, McDowall and Hunter are great! Want a banana?

No special effects but instead concentrates on excellent acting ability of Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter as Zira and Cornelius. This film is really lots of fun with funny moments throughout. I especially liked the scene with the bananas. Other notable scenes include the bathtub sequence and chilling and tragic ending, it makes me cry tears at the end, not many movies do that to me. The music is superb by Jerry Goldsmith with the downsides being slightly wooden acting by the humans and the scene with the man in the obvious gorilla suit.

My Favorite APES movie: The Time Continuum explained: An Artist Painting a Picture of Himself Painting a Picture of Himself Painting a Picture of Himself. Imagine if the artist jumped from one painting to the next. AWESOME SCIENCE-FICTION!!!! Zera and Cornilous escape from the exploding Planet of the apes and wind-up on Planet Earth in 1971, Zera's pregnant with Caesar and both parents are killed when the humans hypnotize Zera to discover the henius experiments Apes performed on Humans. Zera and Cornelius' deaths were devastating to me and I experienced an emotional uplift when Caesar began crying for his mother in Ricardo Maltaban's circus cage. CLASSIC SEQUEL after an abysmal Beneath the Planet of the Apes.

Much better than "Beneath" and terribly underrated. Turns the original film on its head to excellent effect, especially as the tone darkens.
