Matt Cordell is back and is still intent with getting his revenge on those who framed him, by killing at random on the the streets of the big apple. Robert Davi takes over the reigns from Campbell and is given the task of hunting down this lunatic. Davi is a quality replacement for Campbell and Leo Rossi is the balls as Cordell's serial killing sidekick and is a somewhat redneck version of Alan from 'The Hangover'. Comedy gold and a worthy sequel.

Degno seguito del primo Maniac Cop. In una cella si intravede anche tra i detenuti un non ancora famoso Danny Trejo.. Aggiungiamoci Bruce Campbell ed un altro piccolo cameo di Sam Raimi ad abbiamo un bel cult B-movie. Peccato per l'eccidio iniziale dei protagonisti del primo film.. ma all'epoca nelle serie horror era un cliché. Davi interpreta una brutta copia dell'ispettore Callahan e non ha il carisma di Campbell, vera icona del cinema horror. Bel classico slasher-movie.

A solid follow-up to the original, Larry Cohen's knack for creating fun characters and scenarios is still there, as is William Lustig's direction. Not as awesome or interesting as the original, but few sequels are.

Well its not as good as the original but still a worthy sequel, they shock at the start with the early killings as you don't expect them. Robert davi is great as he always is as the detective looking into the latest batch of maniac cop killings. This one the cop learns to drive and ends up making friends with another seriel killer which is a nice touch. The deaths arn't quite as good but ok and z'dar is great as the zombie cop here you see alot more of him as they try to add a bit more emotion to the character. The fire stunts at the end are fantastic!!

A good piece of "cheese" that is surprisingly impressive in parts.
