I'm not a fan of Elvis. But the movie was good. Seen from the perspective of the colonel of course. In general is good. But it took me 3 days to watch it. Too long.

The presentation of facts and truth is on point and it's actually one I can say they did a great job on showcasing how Presley Enterprises was used and also how black culture and music influenced Elvis in a way that made him an ideal person for challenging racism and segregation issues. They gave full credit to the original creators of everything he did and how it worked with him and his relationship dynamics with each of them. And, of course, many people believe that is why Lisa later married Michael Jackson. Undoubtedly, black music and culture was the heart of what made him succeed but his own soul and how he connected with music without consideration to skin color or the government's politics was genuine. He set a stage for a lot of rebellion at a time that was crucial in history. I fully recommend the film.

The movie is mainly about Elvis and Tom " Cornel" Parker. I was impressed by Tom Hanks who played Parker. Parker was an immigrant from Netherland. He lied " I was born in the USA". Hanks played well this complicated paranoid figure. He was so fat and bald that Hanks needed special makeup! Austin Bulter also did a great job. He played Elvis from the '20s to 42 years old. I heard that real Elvis was very fat when he died. Butler should have been fat. It was a long movie of 2 and half hours. I still enjoy KIng's life.

It’s extraordinary how Luhrmann is able to tell this story honestly, while still making it palatable. It’s equally extraordinary that he can take this short and tragically misdirected life and make it feel like a triumph.
