The presentation of facts and truth is on point and it's actually one I can say they did a great job on showcasing how Presley Enterprises was used and also how black culture and music influenced Elvis in a way that made him an ideal person for challenging racism and segregation issues. They gave full credit to the original creators of everything he did and how it worked with him and his relationship dynamics with each of them. And, of course, many people believe that is why Lisa later married Michael Jackson. Undoubtedly, black music and culture was the heart of what made him succeed but his own soul and how he connected with music without consideration to skin color or the government's politics was genuine. He set a stage for a lot of rebellion at a time that was crucial in history. I fully recommend the film.

This is a must-watch movie for sure! Even for those who are not Elvis fans (which it was my case before watching the film) 'Elvis' offers a unique and intimate look at the man behind the legend. Austin Butler is superb in the role, and is sure to be in contention for awards come Oscar season.

Baz Luhrmann’s bejeweled battering ram of a biopic is all over the place, which can be distracting, but the grit and grace of Austin Butler’s performance as The King is a thing of beauty. A star is born right here.

Tom Hanks was meh IMO, Austin Butler was a STAR! The reasoning behind am 8, at times it felt drug on because of the Music Breaks, more story needed to be told to fill in the gaps.

If the writing too seldom measures up to the astonishing visual impact, the affinity the director feels for his showman subject is both contagious and exhausting. Luhrmann’s taste for poperatic spectacle is evident all the way, resulting in a movie that exults in moments of high melodrama as much as in theatrical artifice and vigorously entertaining performance.
