Great film! Superb acting all the way around, with everyone going for the heart of the characters rather than over-the-top caricatures. Kevin Spacey's Nixon is brilliant, and the film will make you laugh out loud as a very sincere and patriotic (but not very bright) Elvis meets with the very stiff Richard Nixon. And the best part: It's a true story!

It's both fun and funny watching the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) power struggle between the two, and Shannon and Spacey make the most of the storyline and their characters. (Full Content Review for Parents - Profanity, etc. - Also Available)

If you're even slightly a fan of E, you'll enjoy this movie. Michael Shannon obviously doesn't look like Elvis, but he does an outstanding job of acting to his essence, and the humor comes through in spades. I was surprised that it was actually Alex Pettyfer, as Elvis's friend/assistant Jerry, who really stole the movie. Such a sympathetic and non-caricature portrayal. That guy needs to be in more movies - leads. And not of YA-novel adaptations.

The will be a brief review telling you whether this is a good movie or not. No analysis no Bullshit. This movie was an extremely fun and entertaining flick. With a talented cast, a funny script, and Kevin Spacey (my love) this movie does so much with so little. With a ridiculous plot (that's "based on a true story") it manages to win over the viewer with it's absurdity and wit. All in all, a surprisingly good flick 8/10
