Electronic Labyrinth: THX 1138 4EB (1967)

In an underground city in a dystopian future, the protagonist, whose name is "THX 1138 4EB", is shown running through passageways and enclosed spaces. It is soon discovered that THX is escaping his community. The government uses computers and cameras to track down THX and attempt to stop him; however, they fail. He escapes by breaking through a door and runs off into the sunset. The government sends their condolences to YYO 7117, THX's mate, claiming that THX has destroyed himself. Electronic Labyrinth: THX-1138 4EB is a 1967 science fiction short film written and directed by George Lucas while he attended the University of Southern California's film school.

its like a guy running around all scared and stuff with these smart people on headsets saying a bunch of numbers so they can sound intelligent or whatever. i don't get it. i mean, maybe if there was some shooting or if THX had a whip or a chainsaw then it would make more sense. but i guess he wouldn't be able to run as good, cause chainsaws are kind of heavy. but then, you know, he wouldn't really need to run. it would be the smart headset people running from him. but instead there are no weapons and its not in 3D so i just get the feeling of being in math class again.

An interesting student short from George Lucus, has a lot going on, I find the full length movie much better, kind of an intro piece if you will.

An interesting precurser to the weirdness that would eventually be THX 1138. Not much happens though, a man runs, people sitting in front of big computer machines try to track him down and bring him back. It's mainly a series of jump shots and at 15 minutes feels a little too long without any plot or given reason for why the man's running or from where.
