"and i hope the audience will enjoy to watch the film as much as we enjoyed to make it". this is why films are made. simple and beautiful as truffaut's cinema.

My favorite movie about filmmaking! And one of my favorite Truffaut movies...I love the scene about shooting from one building to another out the windows...and the second building is fake! It's such a wonderful movie about what we do to create movie fantasies.

Great portrait of a movie set. Funny and honest. I love it.

Truffaut's light take on all the sex, love, and heartbreak he's seen on film sets.

I have not seen all Truffants movies. I enjoyed this one; As a rule I especially enjoy movies about making movies (or making live theater). This movie is excellent and lots of fun. Parts seem somewhat dated of course the film is 30 years old now. I forget why in 1973 at Texas Tech University I did not see this. I did make it to see Fellini Satryicon same year. Four stars. be sure and read Eberts Review.
