La scÃ¨ne emblÃ©matique du film c'est pour moi celle oÃ¹ le rÃ©alisateur (F. Truffaut) dit Ã son acteur principal (J.P. LÃ©aud) pour le convaincre de rester sur le plateau: "Les films sont plus harmonieux que la vie. Il n'y a pas d'embouteillage dans les films, il n'y a pas de temps mort."

You'd have to have a heart of stone to still be a movie snob right after a screening of this film. It's a knowing and detailed reminder that mediocre movies are the bedrock of the whole industry. BTW, Meet Pamela seems uncannily similar to Truffaut's own average and unremarkable The Soft Skin from seven years earlier.
