A hard one to remember at this stage of my life, I remember that it wasn't as heart-breaking as the novel - read this book! - and took a few liberties that challenged the illusion, perhaps due to a small budget. I do recall, though, that it was at least decent fare for its target audience, and it can't help but tell a good story, even if it is a PBS movie. The new Disney-fication frightens me, though... I may just stick with the ghost of this one in my memory instead of (shudder) upgrading.

I like the characters. It activated my emotisons. I do not know why? Maybe becaue I had pinkeye when I saw it.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! The storyline was great, the young and older actors compliemnted each other and were all wicked and the special effects and scenery were breathtaking. The ending was amazing too! I was crying like a baby! Hatss off to young actor Josh Hutcherson (Jess Aarons)
