Incredibly deep, powerful, and well written, A Most Violent Year showcases a very understated and amazing performance from Oscar Isaac, and the rest of the cast is wonderful too. One of the best movies of 2014, if not the best movie of 2014.

Lead by the emotionally raw performances by Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain and incredible directing of J.C. Chandor, this film proves to be a powerful and realistic portray of ambitious couple with the determination to run through a brick wall if it mean they will succeed.
