Dancer in the Dark (2000)

Selma, a Czech immigrant on the verge of blindness, struggles to make ends meet for herself and her son, who has inherited the same genetic disorder and will suffer the same fate without an expensive operation. very sad movie, i saw it when i was in the 6th grade, and still have very pessimistic feelings when i remember about it.

Another perfect film by Lars Von Trier. A perfect marriage of acting, cinematography, music and story. An anti-musical. Brilliant, moving, more than a film, a cinematic experience.

Boring in the begining, but the second half is so beautiful that you forgive and forget quite easily. The final is so strong I had to wipe tears from my eyes, which is really unusual !
