X-Men: First Class (2011)

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were arch-enemies, they were closest of friends, working together with other mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.

The hands down best superhero prequel ever.

Brilliant movie! Was consistant all the way through and not once did it make me yawn. From beginning to end it keeps you gripped. Respected the brotherly bond between Xavier and Magnito and it shed a light on a few things like Mystique being Xavier's sister. Well worth a watch this movie.

Having grown up with X-Men movies that had James Marsden and co, I was initially disappointed with the entire cast being changed (sans Hugh). But this movie turned out to be a complete masterpiece. My only complaint is that it's too long, but it hits all the right points an X-Men movie should have. We need more masterpieces like these!

Now I know Professor X and Magneto were close friends before they turned into enemies :-)

Best X men film to date. Impressive acting, tight script, and some amazing CGI. The only problem was the CGI at times. Grade: A
