A mildly diverting afternoon whimsy sort of film, not as good as I was expecting it to be. Harryhausen's creature effects are ok at best, most of the selenites appearing to be people in fly suits!

One of Ray's only movie to be played fully from camp, and it works deliriously. The set-up takes a little while, but it's a lot of fun to see these Edwardian Brits trying to figure out how to build the sphere (their rocket ship), and once they get to the moon, the sets are great as is the always quality work of the man, Harryhausen. Loads of fun.

It was alright but nowhere near as good as H.G.'s War of the Worlds. The idea wasn't terrible but it was quite boring.

The British got to the moon before the Americans! I love this film, it takes you back to an era when life was so much simpler :) The shock the Americans must have had after seeing the Union Jack and the moon being claimed by Queen Victoria..

Probably the first well done space movie. A favorite of mine as a kid, and still one today.
