Ken Russell is a genius, i am so glad he is back directing, because this film is one of the best Brit films ever, what a cast.. Oliver reed is so powerful, Alan Bates is a walking talking aesthetic of beauty, and as for Glenda Jackson, no words would do her any justice, other than, perfect!! excellent locations, wonderful music, love Jenny Lindens look at the end of the film...

ken russell is a great director. and glenda jackson is a phenomenal actress. all aaround amazing film. plus alan bates can totally father my children.
