Wilder Napalm (1993)

Wilder and Wallace are brothers and pyrokinetics. Ever since childhood they've been able to start fires with their minds but following a tragedy in which they accidentally killed a man, the brothers have grown up very differently. Wilder has become a regular 9-5 workaday joe but Wallace performs his feats with a traveling circus. When the circus comes to Wilder's home town Wallace starts coming on strong to Wilder's wife, Vida who, ironically, is a slight pyromaniac.

This little seen movie is full of quirky characters. A simple story of self-denial, self-destruction and redemption. Debra Winger is wonderful as a slightly loopy pyromaniac and Dennis Quaid as a lusty pyrokynetic clown is over-the-top goodness!

Where was this gem hiding for the last 15 years? How did I never hear of it? This is just the kind of quirky early/mid-90s era films that I love. It's over engineered, highly detailed, and perhaps way ahead of its time. I don't know if this film was shelved or if it simply didn't catch on with people or find an audience, but this is a fantastic romantic comedy with brilliant acting and stunning cinematography. The writer and director of this film are both underrated geniuses...

This was just a little too wacky to be either funny or serious. I was just trying to suspend disbelief the whole time.

Not as great as I remember it. It was cool watching it when I was a little boy but now, it kinda suck. Subject is good and I think the only film that showcase Pyrokinetics but in a film-making standpoint, script really needs a lot of work. Nevertheless this serves as one of the coolest childhood films I've watched.
