Vision Quest (1985)

After deciding he needs to do something meaningful with his life, high school wrestler Louden Swain sets out on a mission to drop weight and challenge the area's undefeated champion, which creates problems with his teammates and health. Matters are complicated further when Louden's father takes in an attractive female drifter who's on her way to San Francisco.

So basically had to wathc this cause its an 80's teen movie...and its my own personal mission, but i actually really enjoyed it. I like the theme of reaching for your goals, and coming of age etc., even if i wasn't too into the whole wrestling thing.

Another Washington State movie! High school wrestling! (I wrestled in high school.) Filmed at Mead High School in Spokane. the Mead wrestling coach is in the movie!

Yes, I give this movie five stars. Why? It's soundtrack. The epitomy of flashy, corny, and overall kickass eighties music is heard throughout this whole movie. On top of that, this is the only decent film revolving around collegiate wrestling. Matthew Modine is great as well playing a high school wrestler dropping weight.
