Plot? What plot? You don't watch movies like this for plot. It's a B movie at its best. Great action scenes, and well beyond gory.

to be honest I have little clue what the hell was going on most of the time. something about clones and the murder of a guys wife and child...or we're they?? this as I can tell doesn't follow from any of the others apart from some of the main soldiers returning again somehow.ala dolph,van damme and the pitball. what stand this film out above other cheap DVD flicks is the action,it's awesome!! the fight scenes are so well done,no shaky cam and the last 20 mins with Adkins walking around the unisol base is just some of the best action you will see this year,only the raid has done it better.hopefully this and expendables 2 can finally put on the map how brilliant Scott Adkins is. he should be battling it out with statham for all the best action films in Hollywood. van damme and dolph really are extended cameos but both are decent in the villain roles. van damme especially again plays a badass villain.

It's been quite an interesting in regards to franchises receiving better attention & much better reinvention. If you are an universal soldier fan you are in for a wonderful surprise. Hyams does a wonderful job at directing the best entry in the series. The previous film laid the foundation for new action scenes but this trumps everything. The action scenes are the key but a deceptive story really surprised me. The film belongs to Adkins who is just impressive. Some the fights are so brutal I couldn't bear to watch. Van damme is barely present and this is a let down as the man is really starting to come back to the spot light. I was glued to the tv once the film kicked off. If you enjoy blood and awesome fighting then this the film for you

Picture a Universal Soldier film mixed with "Enter the Void" and "The Shining". This film has no right to be any good. But, it is nonetheless!
