I believe this is the only franchise in that the sequels are better than the original or the sequels before it every single time.

Really enjoyed the movie, definitely one of my favorite mission impossible movies so far, can't wait for the part 2

Solid action movie. Takes a bit too long to get going with lots and lots of exposition in the beginning. Some of the stunts that were done practical get demoted by cgi fx (they built a real train and crashed it off of a cliff but the landing looks cgi heavy). Also there are a few plotholes concerning the ai-entity. It is presented as this omnipotent hacker, that can hack everything and even emulate voices. The solution to that is "analog radio because it is not digital and this not hackable", but i mean.. radio stations also send digital output via analog radio? Later there is a scene where Simon Peggs character uses the autopilot of his car.. which somehow is immune to getting hacked all of a sudden? Besides that it was an entertaining 150 minutes which could (should?) Have been 90-110 minutes at most. Still looking forward to part 2.

Wow, great movie but with some gripes. The pluses are the great train sequence, the series having more in-depth romance and making the series more ensemble rather than just the 3 IMF agents. I won't spoil it but the locations are great, the music is well-done and the stunts are thrilling. The new people they brought in that they'll carry forward to part 2 are also interesting. The story is exhilarating but it couldn't be done in 1 movie so you need to watch part 2 when it releases to see how it ends but the film still ends on a high note. There are no perfect movies and this wasn't one either. My gripes are that they kill off a main character which they gave more screen time to in the first half for seemingly no reason which I didn't like. Also the Rome and desert sequences were kinda boring, not bad but not memorable. Honestly, a good movie, you probably won't be disappointed but the film goes deeper into action rather than spy-thriller so some fans could end up being somewhat disappointed. Go watch it.

A movie from back when cinema was entertainment. CGI done right: only to enhance picture, not to create all. Jaw dropping stunts. Good story: the main topic is very timely. Good writing, perfect acting. No hidden agenda. Only the division into two parts is annoying, but there is culmination of part one.
