A anime-prequel to the game 'Dead Space'. An entire space colony gets infected by a virus (from a religious artifact). When the artifact is aboard the deep-space mining spaceship, the crew is 'zombified' and gallons of blood and dismemberment follow. Pretty good. The game is more terrifying, though.

Great little anime prequel to the awesome video game Dead Space. It's not as scary or gory as the game, but still pretty good. Loved the character of Alyssa Vincent, the Ishimura's Security Officer and also liked the backstory of the artifact and the mining colony. Some plot inconsistencies, but all in all, quite good and it made the want to play the video game again, lol.

La gran mayoria de las peliculas basadas en videojuegos son un fracaso, un asco, un desproposito (vean los casos de Mario Bros., Final Fantasy y otros males), pero en este caso podemos hacer una muy digna exepcion. En este film nos ilustran de una manera muy sangrienta y gore el origen de la reliquia que genera toda la historia contada luego en los videojuegos. Muy recomendable y demuestra una vez mas que una buena animacion pude tener inclusive mas calidad que muchas peliculas, asi sean de genero de la accion o el terror.

This movie was defiinitely Dead Space... Bloody, thrilling and awesome. I can recommend this movie to every cartoon and horror fan... and of course, everyone who liked the game ;)

This movie was great and a great addition to the Dead Space saga. Fills in many plot holes from the first game. The animation is a bit dated as compared to more modern anime, but as for something coming out of 2008 it's passable. All of the characters are not necessarily likeable, but they are interesting, something the other reviewers for this movie can't seem to grasp. Nor does it seem that either of the top reviewers have played any of the games either, so their reviews are best left ignored.
