Under the Cherry Moon (1986)

Two friends from Miami are in the French Riviera enjoying life by scamming money off of rich women. One day, they read about a young woman set to inherit $50 million from her father. At first, Tricky has Christopher Tracy talked into romancing her for her money, but in getting to know her, Christopher falls in love with her. This love comes between the brothers, and Tricky tells about the plan.

More of a personal favorite than an actual good film.

Like Prince’s music, perhaps this film is best taken in for its sensation and not its literal output. That, and the dialogue is just ridiculous. But Prince looks cool, owns his story’s loose ideology of churlish change, and stages some marvelously ornate shots.

This movie is bad like a box of really old marshmallow candy that you know people would gross out if they saw you eating, but you eat it anyway and it's actually really good for what it is, even though you know better than to eat it. Anyway, I like the "wrecka stow" part and that one other part where he screams "PITS!!!"

Okay. It's a trainwreck. But in such a BEAUTIFUL way. The acting is so bad it MJST have been intentional, right? I can't quit loving this movie. I refuse.
