One of Dudley moore's best films, and bo looking her best ever, story is good as is the humor.

This movie helped make couples everywhere want to make love to the sounds of Ravel's 'Bolero', and women wear beads and corn rows the way Bo Derek did. The film itself has a great comedic performance from Dudley Moore, whose character demonstrates some of the pitfalls men have once they reach a mid-life crisis and the yearnings most men have. And of course I give Bo Derek, on a scale from 1 to 10, an 11.

Nach einer schier endlosen Reihe von PINK PANTHER Sequels kam Ende der 70er mal wieder ein ambitionierterer Film von Blake Edwards. Dieser war dann auch sehr erfolgreich, ist bald ikonisch geworden und bringt ein StÃ¼ck LebensgefÃ¼hl der Zeit sicherlich recht akkurat zum Ausdruck. Gealtert ist er trotzdem nicht sonderlich gut, wirkt er doch einigermaÃ?en zahm und in seiner FrivolitÃ¤t hier und da eher aufgesetzt.

A nice comedic melodrama with some good performances. It's not as good as some have hailed it as being, but it's good enough for a watch every once in a while. As far as cinematic midlife crises go, stick with American Beauty. It is rather dated, but because it is, it actually provides a nice look at the sexual excesses of an era before the AIDS pandemic- which I kind of liked.
