A rape can bring a lot of misery, it can destroy one's existence. Never an easy subject for a movie. This movie shows how deeply it affect the victim's life but also the life of those close to the victim.

A very tough film, that feels almost too personal, and that you can't help but feel awkward watching it. The film itself is somewhat uneven; for every good performance there is a bad one, and for every good scene, there is a fake and forced one.

Incredibly moving and daring. Although it is not an easy film to watch because it is graphic, it is an eye opening and emotional film that deserves attention. Anders' has created a deeply personal film to channel her inner thoughts and emotions and has come up with something that demands to be seen. Things Behind the Sun is a beautiful film.

The flick was just so-so but Don Cheadle was wonderful; an extra 1/2 star for supporting my favorite Gabriel Mann. =)
