Rarely I find a very good B&W old film, this is one of them. Corruption in a small town, injustice about to happen, uptight legal specialist, civil unrest and a witty lady saving it all.

An unusually out-of-sync performance for Grant, whose edge feels artificial here. Considering the great cast and the great director this was disappointing.

The love triangle was really weird and Cary Grant was off screen far too often for my taste but Jean Arthur was great. Definitely not my favorite screwball comedy but okay if one is really bored as this film, which is 117 minutes long, seems much longer.

Oh my goodness! Cute, cute CUTE film! I saw this last night on TV, and I'm so glad I did! Loved it! Jean Arthur is adorable!!!
