A love that needs a catalyst to survive, a love that must always be unrequited, now that is romantic. Like Antony and Cleopatra, the lovers are always toying, never still, never sure and always in need of an audience to make their love greater.

As a huge fan of Woody Allen, "VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA" was perhaps his best film in years. Matching the excellent cast of Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Hall and Penelope Cruz in her Academy Award winning role, Allen creates a lusty, charming and tasteful story set in the beautiful city of Barcelona. This is a very enjoyable and satisfying romantic comedy-drama from one of the legends of the screen, proving that, now in his seventies, Woody Allen is still very much in the game.
