Spellbinding and Compelling! It stirred emotions to my core and my mind raced during this film. The subtlety of the acting made the horrific event all the more compelling. The actual stoning made me feel as if in the crowd and then, suddenly, I was Soraya. It was unbelievable.Too powerful for tears!

This movie is a must see. The critics are wrong in rating this so low. This is a rare inside look behind the bloody veil of Iran and how they treat their woman in smaller villages where man's rule is final. Well cast, well acted and tells a story that has to be told. Shocking, sad, maddening, and pathetic. Complete character builing of Soraya, a mother, a wife, a daughter...a lamb led to her slaughter for the 'benefit' of just another asshole man behind the guise of religion. Must see.

The movie shows the reality that is shoking. The detail, visualisation portrayed gives us the feeling of anger and helplessness. Well done.

I just saw this movie and have but one word. WOW! I honestly struggle with how to put into words what this movie provokes. I was blown away by the struggle of this one woman who would not give in to this terrible injustice. I definitely recommend this movie.
