One of the most intense and visceral film experiences I've had all year. This is a claustrophobic nightmare of power and cruelty; a film that could only exist because it's based on a true story. And the acting...good lord, the acting.

Argh this was BRUTAL and hard to watch, even knowing it was only actors. The fact that Zimbardo set this experiment up without a safe word, the fact that he is OK with his portrayal in this movie, and the fact that he is somehow NOT persona non grata among the psychology committee today are just astounding.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely." An interesting remake of the infamous study. Probably only for psychology buffs, but if you want to see an intellectual dive into power struggle, this might do it for you.
