The best Roger Moore era Bond film. Everything clicks in this one. Yes the script borrows from YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE in the device of stealing submarines. But Roger Moore and Barbara Bach carry the film. For me, next to Tracy, Anya is Bond's greatest love. Next to FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE it is the Bond film that defines the Cold War era, and defines detente for me. Plus Carly Simon's theme song composed by the great Marvin Hamlisch is THE best Bond theme song. I honestly think NOTHING will surpass it. (I love this film so much, I'll give the '70s Disco Bond music a pass!)

For me, this films only flaw is the demise of its main villain, but I'm willing to look past that as this is the perfect Bond film! It has a great couple of villians, beautiful Bond girls, glamourous locations, thrilling action, good (if slightly 70's) music, an iconic Bond car in the Lotus and some very amusing moments courtesy of Roger Moore, the best Bond ever!

The greatest Moore and one of the greatest Bond Movies ever. It has everything a good bond movie needs. A great enemy, great fight scenes. The underwater Lotus is possible the best car in the series. Great Girl: Barbra Bach! a great henchman: Jaws! And of course the famous 007 wit, especially the last line. It has EVERYTHING

The Spy Who Loved Me was good I like the song nobody does it better and my favorite part was when 007 shot Stromberg.
