A wonderfully crafted narrative exploring the human experience of regret, chance circumstance and the transformative nature of the love from father to son, navigating through generational lines and rooted in to a present much shaped by "Luke". Highly recommend this drama!!

Great Flick. Ryan Gosling character once again keeps audience guessing what's his intentions. Love symbolism of film. Great acting very underrated film.

Few films reach such lofty emotional heights and pack as strong of a punch as 'The Place Beyond the Pines'. As the final scene comes to an end, you'll feel like you've just been kicked in the face by a body builder. The 'sins of the father' story has never before felt so prevalent and fleshed out. Gosling, as the world-weary father in question, evokes such heart wrenching emotion that even in his wildest, most reckless moments he still garners immense amounts of sympathy from the audience. A masterfully crafted drama that, with all hope, will get even more credit than it currently has and will be watched for years to come.

I forced myself to watch the entire thing and I am so glad I did. The plot began to make me very upset and angry until the end. The acting was superb and the director really knew what he was doing. Great cast.
