Ballsy movie with a twist so missing in run of the mill safe movies. If you like to be challenged this is for you.

Few films reach such lofty emotional heights and pack as strong of a punch as 'The Place Beyond the Pines'. As the final scene comes to an end, you'll feel like you've just been kicked in the face by a body builder. The 'sins of the father' story has never before felt so prevalent and fleshed out. Gosling, as the world-weary father in question, evokes such heart wrenching emotion that even in his wildest, most reckless moments he still garners immense amounts of sympathy from the audience. A masterfully crafted drama that, with all hope, will get even more credit than it currently has and will be watched for years to come.

The Place Beyond The Pines is my favorite film of all time... The acting is incredible, the directing by Derek Cianfrance is perfect. The soundtrack is unforgettable. I could gush like a kid all day about this movie. But take it from a lover of films of all genres...The Place Beyond The Pines is one of the greatest films ever made. Loaded with emotion and Intensity, this film reminds me why I love movies so much in the first place...they make you feel. This one makes you feel A LOT of different things. I've coerced many people into watching this film with me and they all thanked me after the end credits begin to roll... Treat yourself and watch this masterpiece film!
