it's amazing to see a movie about a war as it's happening. shows importance of strong, supportive communities. movie highlighted with the Dunkirk rescue. the sermon given at a bombed church was so powerful it was used in leaflets dropped over western Europe to motivate and inspire resistance groups

Don't let the silly review prevent you from watching this wonderful William Wyler movie. Wyler and Wellmen were both famous for strong female roles in their movies. It's cleaR THE REVIEWER DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE FILM AS SHE DOES NOT TEND HER ROSES. oNE OF THE TOWNSPEOPLE WANTS TO NAME A ROSE AFTER HER.

The characters were hard to relate to but, The acting and the tragedy of the war was powerful enough to keep my intrest high.
