One of the Coen's more overlooked films, but no doubt because it's one of their least accessible. Drenched in symbolism and existentialist philosophy, the film begs multiple viewings to truly understand what's going on. But with a film from the Coen brothers, that's usually pretty standard.

Probably my favorite Coen Bros movie. So well written, shot, acted, edited. Just an all around win.

There is nothing explicitly wrong with this film. It just kind of dulled off at points. Still, it was an interesting film and all of the actors were amazing. I never knew I could respect Billy Bob Thorton.

One of the Coen Brothers best films, Right there with Fargo,No Country and Blood Simple.There are scenes in this film that may lead you to believe the movie was made in the 40's.

A classic film noir with a classic noir story and feel. The performances were above sensational and very enjoyable. I found myself feeling disturbed and appreciated when the film ended. Usually I am not impressed with Thorton's work, but absolutely loved his very interesting hideously funded character.
