I like it, but hey I'm the choir (so to speak) he's preaching to the converted. I was raised to fear God and then i grew up. At best it is entertaining. I quote it a lot.

On the point, with humour, but doesn't really work as a counter-wedge for ID/Jesus freaks.

Okay, so this guy had a lousy childhood so now he's going to say that all christians are bad. I am all for people not believing in God and of corse questoning; but to go straight out and say it you belive in God your an idiot totally infringes on people's personal ideas and thus in turn your doing just what you felt was done to you! How does that make anything better? While an interesting film, it moves much to fast. He hardly gets one argument out before getting onto the next, many can hardly bear the point being made and in some cases little to no research effort was made. Yes some extreme christians are nut but according to him because I go to church I am nuts too! Perhaps if he had better exicuted his argument, toned down on the fast animation and just done a better job at explaining rather than shocking it might have gone over better. Plus it dosn't go over well when you attack everyone!

This was an awesome documentary!!! It raises some very interesting questions about the reliability of the gospels and is very thought-provoking!

On a referential level it gives us the "facts" about the naive way Christians think. How the Christ symbols are just a variations on many other earlier deities and their sons. On an implicit level you may find the pathology behind some atheist need to rebel and prove that they are right. In some parts of the documentary I sense the film-makers frustration and hate towards is Christian upbringing and I never really feel that he gets any real relief in the end. I learned lots in this movie about some atheist thought and feelings. Fascinating movie for believers and non believers
