I like it, but hey I'm the choir (so to speak) he's preaching to the converted. I was raised to fear God and then i grew up. At best it is entertaining. I quote it a lot.

Had more "meat" than Religulous. Instead of simply ridiculing believers (like Maher did), Flemming actually asked challenged them with facts. And definitely two thumbs up for the ending, though. Returning to the scene and denouncing God in the very same church where he formerly "accepted Jesus" is priceless. Still, this film left me unsatisfied. Considering the overwhelming logical and factual case against superstition, I can't understand why anyone is afraid to occupy two solid hours asking the questions that religion can't answer. I'm beginning to think that the only way we're ever going to get a decent mainstream documentary about religion is if Michael Moore makes one... of course that won't ever happen unless religion starts killing people in Flint, MI.

Unfortunately, it's poorly researched and very personally biased. Flemming undercuts any points he's trying to make when he goes back to his grade school to settle old scores. It's also fascinatingly ... fundamentalist. Having left fundamentalism, he's now applying that same literalism to disbelief, without ever looking at other options.

Not a bad look at Christianity. The interview between the director & the head master at the Christian school reminded me of the showdown w/ Charleton Heston in "Bowling for Columbine", but I skipped most of it. I also skipped the 5 or 10 min devoted to "Passion of the Christ" (too squeamish when it comes to blood/gore in movies).

Finally. This is a film that is way overdue. Yet, in my opinion, badly done. While I love this movie because I agree with the director in subject matter, I don't like the condescending tone, the radical view, and the confrontational approach. Could have been far better, and doesn't serve the freethinker community as well as it could have. Worthwhile film regardless.
