During World War I, a German U-boat sinks a British passenger ship and takes the survivors aboard. After getting lost in fog, the submarine surfaces near the unknown island of Caprona, a lost world where they find dinosaurs and Neanderthals.

Fun adventure film is marred by terrible special effects. The story about a WWI submarine that stumbles upon a hidden land where dinosaurs and cavemen still exist. It's a solid story with a game cast and good production design, but the dinosaur special effects are just awful and really distract from an otherwise fine adventure film.

OMG What a fantastic film. I saw this as a kid and it only fuelled my love of films...still a classic...watch the plastic dinosaurs...brilliant.

With some really neat special effects, Kevin Connor's excellent direction, a totally un-Hollywood ending, and one of the coolest leading men in screen history, The Land That Time Forgot is a very awesome adventure film indeed!

well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is good movie 2 watch................its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie.......i think that doug mcclure, john mcenery, susan penhaligon, godfrey james, anthony ainley, keith barron, declan mulholland, brian hall, roy holder play good roles/parts thorughout this movie...........i think that doug mcclure, anthony ainley, susan penhaligon were great throughout this movie................................i think that the director of this adventure/classics/kids/family movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie......i think that this is a great classics movie with a great cast throughout this movie its got a brilliant cast thorughout this movie n its a really enjoyable movie 2 watch
