This is a truly great movie. Friendship, betrayal, redemption and coming of age. I loved everything about this film. Miss it at your peril. Instantly collectable.

This is a very very touching movie. Amir's father said at one point in the movie, "A boy who cannot stand up for himself will grow into a man who cannot stand up for anything." Isn't it true for everyone, male and female alike?

This movie is about today: war, country invasion, child abuse, corruption, fear, power, poverty, betrayal, immigration, shame, arranged marriages, religion, racism, simple organic toys, adoption, it is a quite nice arragement. It could be applied to any country anytime today.
