A great and exciting tale, which all goes bad and becomes a sad sad story! This looks into the hardships of many things such as friendship and even world events such as the Soviet-Afghan war and even worse, the Taliban of Afghanistan. Great movie.

Descomunal pelicula sobre la amistad, el valor, el perdon y la culpa. Pero tambien un retrato descarnado de la ceguera que sufren todos aquellos fanaticos religiosos, sea cual sea la religion. Absolutamente imprescindible y de una belleza que, aunque terrible, resulta arrebatadora.

A beautifully acted, compelling story about the way shame can scar a family, set against the struggles of the Afghan people. Homayoun Ershadi, as Amir's father, was superb, acting his role with dignity and compassion, and always looking the part, whatever the age of his character. This film tugs on the heartstrings, then concludes with a nicely-balanced ending and the planting of a small seed of hope.
