The Iron Giant is a very heart warming film, both for kids and adults, and thats special.

I had seen this before and forgotten about it until I stumbled upon it in a 5 dollar bin. This movie is great, well acted and directed, the cartooning is excellent the characters believable and it is just a fun film. Haven't seen it available in BR but will be looking to pick up that version and hand the dvd down to the kids for their collections.

A well-written, emotional, and a pretty much flawless masterpiece from the same director who eventually wrote and directed The Incredibles, The Iron Giant tells an emotional story about choice and purpose, how our choices define who we are and not who created us or what people tell us. "You are what you choose to be". With a brilliant cast and the brilliant voice-acting of Vin Diesel as the Giant, this film ends with a tear-jerking high note that will leave a precious memory in the minds of many. 5/5

I went into watching The Iron Giant with low expectations because its animation was lackluster compared to Toy Story (which was made four years prior) and therefore assumed its story would follow suit. Truth was, I was so blown away by its story and its amazing messages that any prejudice I had against this movie was wiped away within the first ten minutes of the film. In fact, this may have been the best kids movie that I have ever seen, no joke. If you haven't seen The Iron Giant yet, I would absolutely recommend this instant classic.

One of the best movies of all time! I don't know why I missed it in the theater but we found it later and it became my son's absolute favorite movie. In 2017 I think it was, we all saw it when it was re-released in theaters. I just realized that it was directed by Brad Bird who made perhaps an even more Incredible animated feature years later (pun intended).
