The terrible and trecherous Pendragon plans to gain the throne of Cornwall by getting the king to abdicate and to marry his lovely daughter. To help him he has his dreadful witches in his castle and his almost unstoppable sorcery. A giant under his control abducts the princess, but on the way home with her the giant meets farming lad Jack who slays him. This is only the beginning.

Great ideas in the film with some ham acting but the effects were great for it's time!

It was okay for a little while... but then it just got too wacky for my taste, so I turned the channel. Haha. Cutting edge technology for the time- great work on the monsters and the witches!

Stop these silly comparisons to Ray H.'s work. He's in a class all his own. Having said that, to discount this film becasue it doesn't measure up to such a high standard is being overly harsh. This is a creatively fun romp. So over the top I get carried away each time I see it. God only knows how much Harryhausen's work means to me but that does not stop me from having fun with other poples' work as well.

okay, seriously. this was actually very entertaining and fun, and if you're into retro insane harryhausen-esque 60s awesomeness, this is definitely for you. or if you just want to see a viking and a leprechaun on screen together, this is for you, too.

it is the first movie i ve ever seen in my life , i was 3 years old and i used to watch it all the day long again and again and again,there are some parts of it that made me feel not good,i was young,and the animational imagination of the director wasnt fresh enough i guess,wasnt as pure as my soft brain that time,i payed too much attention for the features in the movie,i watched it till 7 years old or somthing,for a whole 4 years,till i lost the tape,yet i still remmember things,i still even remmember wat i felt,when i saw the man in the bottle,the flying dragon,the giant,the stoned walking soldier gaurds of the castle that he wipped them ,i travel with time to my child hood,through this movie,it wasnt good,but soo much good for me :)
