I really enjoyed this film up until the last 30 minutes where the dreaded sea monster causes havoc on London. The stop-motion is smooth but some of the effects are terrible, sound design is god awful with massive gaps with hardly any sound whilst things are being destroyed and the ending is extrmely unclimactic. It's ashame because it builds up well and does a good job at hiding the monster and creating a sense of threat.

Yawn, so boring. Random seamonster attacking random people and some random guys should destroy it. Clear rip-off of Godzilla (Gojira) The director must be so proud for re-using the exact same stop-go animation for 18 scenes. -_-

A British version of The Beast from 20,000 fathoms, lesser known but just as good. A monster coming straight from the Bible. Good dialogue and acting but the special effects don't really hold up. Overall it's a good movie.

It was Soooo Bad, re-using scenes over and over again. And a story that was BAD! Characters just Disappear!

British monster movies from the era tend to be a lot more intelligent than many of ours, but this one adds boredom to the mix, sadly.
