Raw, Gritty, reminds me of Cassavetes. What will ordinary people with their own issues and problems do when confronted with evil in a confined small space. Will they cower and turn their backs or fight back. This would make a great play.

The Incident is a very taut and intense film. From the opening scene you're hooked all the way. Martin Sheen and particularly Tony Musante are brilliantly brutal as two thugs who terrorize the passengers of a New York City subway car. The black and white photography is also exceptionsal which adds to the sense of realism this film posesses. Overall, a highly entertaining, thought provoking and troubling film that is just as relevant today as it was in 1967. A must see!

The Incident's depiction of human indifference though brutally true can seem as somewhat overboard but nothing to tarnish the film and the fabulous cast.

Musante and Sheen are chilling as a pair of maniacs terrorizing a diverse group of trapped passengers on a late-night subway ride. Ahead of its time in many ways.

It has been said about the film industry in the US, that it's a business whose commercial product just happens to be movies.
