It has been said about the film industry in the US, that it's a business whose commercial product just happens to be movies.

Some young men are up to trouble as they slang around town, robbing people and provoke everyone on they're way. They end up in a subway car and this is where they really start they're game. We see the stories of everyone in the car. How they get to the station and why they are there - we get to know them a little bit. It's a very nice build up, for 45 minutes or so, then Joe and Artie (acted by Tony Musante and Martin Sheen) enters. They are up for fuzz. Original setting, and brutal realism at it's best. It's almost like an old version of "Funny Games", just with an ever cooler setting. Very underrated film and very unknown. The cast is great and the performances are really good. A remake could be kind of nice. Maybe with an even better mixture of passengers and victims. 8.5 out of 10 casts.

Saw this in its original theatrical release and I must say I was very impressed with the performances of Martin Sheen, Tony Musante and Beau Bridges since I had seen either very little or nothing of any of them prior to that point. I just knew they all had a bright future ahead of them.

Terror on a New York subway is not the city's finest hour. While no doubt hated by city officials trying to put down this type of publicity, this type of film has stereotyped the Big Apple ever since. Beau Bridges stars, Martin Sheen film debut. Two hoodlums, that is small time gangsters, molest an assorted group of passengers. May seem overdone, but the basic plot is the non-involvement of the passengers in times of danger. Also on television known as Ride with Terror, a drama in the U.S. Actors: Victor Arnold ... Tony Goya Robert Bannard ... Pfc. Phillip Carmatti Beau Bridges ... Pfc. Felix Teflinger Ruby Dee ...
