Musante and Sheen are chilling as a pair of maniacs terrorizing a diverse group of trapped passengers on a late-night subway ride. Ahead of its time in many ways.

The Incident is a very taut and intense film. From the opening scene you're hooked all the way. Martin Sheen and particularly Tony Musante are brilliantly brutal as two thugs who terrorize the passengers of a New York City subway car. The black and white photography is also exceptionsal which adds to the sense of realism this film posesses. Overall, a highly entertaining, thought provoking and troubling film that is just as relevant today as it was in 1967. A must see!

Despite some good and decent acting this movie has one fatal flaw: It is boring as all get out. It is basically an hour and a half of talking and repetitive bullying, followed by about five minutes of fight. THats all there is to this film. They also let go of a big issue: racism. When one of the villians calls Peters a "Nigger", Peters gets angry but decides it's not worth it. Then at the end when there are two guys passed out and a young stabbed Beau Bridges, the police try to arrest Peters, the only black man in the car, based on nothing but the fact that he's is black. And they just throw that all away. And it was a damn shame that they did.
