This film works because of its immediacy -- the fact that it was largely made by former blacklistees. Zero Mostel will break your heart in this. There's blood on your hands, HUAC.

One of the few Woody Allen films I've liked. No, this was written by Bernstein & directed by Ritt - so I guess it's just as actor that I like Woody. An dramatic comedy based around the communist scare of the 1950's - with an incredible supporting cast.

Wonderful drama with very sad and touching moments, particularly from Mostel and Murphy. Allen also did an excellent job. The final act is incredible.

Nicely done film about McCarthy-era blacklistings. Will stick in your head for awhile.
