[Delinquent Season] acutely highlights the fragile nature of modern relationships through extremely human and engaging characters.

The Delinquent Season is a movie to remember for a number of reason. The actors were convincing, the storyline was captivating, and the beautiful setting of Dublin. However the main reason I recommend the film is the writer poses the striking question of “How well do we really know our significant other?”. I allpulde writer/director, Make O’Rowe, on a terrific job of portraying complicated relationship, without being insensitive to the subject matter. This is a film to keep in mind if ever want to enjoy a intense story that provokes thought.

O’Rowe...evokes both a theatrical and literary sense of narrative (it’s likely no coincidence that Jim references novelist John Updike), with scenes effectively unfolding like well-honed chapters. The cast is also first-rate.

Strong performances from all of the principal actors. Riveting storyline - yes maybe it had a theatrical feel to it - but found that it was gripping and about the folly of emotional incontinence and the fragility of relationships.

Tale shows what happens when boundaries are crossed and life deals unexpected hands. Falls short on communicating the pain of broken relationships - but it is decent in this kind of love affair genre.
