An unusual take on the 1950s teen gang scene, though it's disappointing in the laugh quantity department. Still, Sidney's initiation into the force is truly funny. Would make a curious double bill with "Rebel Without a Cause."

Lewis is great in this to be in his mid 20's, and plays a nieve teen.

Jerry Lewis plays a would-be juvenile delinquent who is taken under the wing of kindly neighborhood cop Darren McGavin. It's a pretty familiar juvenile delinquent story, but when you add Jerry to the mix, it's pretty fun if nothing exceptional. Jerry's first solo effort after splitting with Dean Martin.
