The Bishop's Wife (1947)

An Episcopal Bishop, Henry Brougham, has been working for months on the plans for an elaborate new cathedral which he hopes will be paid for primarily by a wealthy, stubborn widow. He is losing sight of his family and of why he became a churchman in the first place. Enter Dudley, an angel sent to help him. Dudley does help everyone he meets, but not necessarily in the way they would have preferred. With the exception of Henry, everyone loves him, but Henry begins to believe that Dudley is there to replace him, both at work and in his family's affections, as Christmas approaches.

All of the Cristmas classics are great. This is such a great story and you can't beat the original.

Engaging comedy/drama. Together with "It's a wonderful Life", the best feel good movie. Monty Woolley is teriffic.

Im not 1` 4 Rom antic Comedys but seeing as this 1 has CG in it i gave it a go & was quite surprised & liked it quite a lot

A film that not many people have seen. Apart from most of my friends who I forced to watch the film. It?s a funny touching film of Bishop praying for guidance. He gets it in a form of an angel who comes to help him. His wife begins to like the angel and the Bishop has to fight to get her back. Brilliantly funny and a touching story at Christmas time.

A very uplifting and fun movie. Some fantasy that is very enjoyable. Great acting and great story.
