Note to future viewers: if you don't like thinking during movies, do NOT rent 'Assassination'. Sean Penn's performance is meant to make the average person realize the often meaningless-ness of their existence. 'The Assassination of Richard Nixon' played like a modern day 'Death of a Salesman'... in both, the lead character becomes quite disillusioned with their meager existence, and takes drastic measures.

well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.....its got a good cast of actors/actressess thorughout this movie....i think that sean penn, naomi watts, don cheadle play good roles/parts thorughout this movie.......i think that the director of this drama/real-life/true-story/adventure movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie.....i think that the director of this movie had done a great job of directing this movie because this is an underrated thriller/drama movie 2 watch with a great cast throughout this movie n its a great movie 2 watch

I loved this movie. An amazing version of the classic story of the downfall of a man and his reactions to it. I also love how this movie expressed the insignificance that a single man really has in the history of the world or even a generation. Sean Penn played an outstanding role as he made me feel sorry for him but also became the bad guy at the same time. I also loved the conclusion/climax of the movie, it did not disappoint.
