The Astronaut Farmer (2007)

Texan Charles Farmer left the Air Force as a young man to save the family ranch when his dad died. Like most American ranchers, he owes his bank. Unlike most, he's an astrophysicist with a rocket in his barn - one he's built and wants to take into space. It's his dream. The FBI puts him under surveillance when he tries to buy rocket fuel, and the FAA stalls him when he files a flight plan – but Charles is undeterred.

Good film no matter how unrealistic. Very inspiring story, sends the message that you can do anything you put your mind to. Recommend checking it out.

The rare film that can make you question your own sanity, but The Astronaut Farmer is so lacking in plausibility, explanation, motivation and physical science that you start to ask: Is it me? Rest assured: It's them.

Billy Bob Thornton sure gave a nice performance in this movie. I love the way he had his family's support through out his endeavours to fly hs rocket.

This movie makes you feel human. It brings all that was good about how we got to where we are and shows how now has some big problems. I love it.
