As with "JFK", the Directors Cut is the one to see. Its an endurance test at well over 3hrs but its also one of the most rewarding. Anthony Hopkins is magic - you can't keep your eyes off him. The rest of the HUGE cast are also on top form.

Hopkins puts in one of the finest cinematic performances inhabiting the body and soul of Nixon. He electrifies the screen throughout the engrossing drama.

When Oliver Stone succeeds, there are few directors who can compare with his style: such is the case with Nixon. This massive, labaryhtian epic covers the life and presidency of one of our most complex leaders. It features great use of both historical and non historical footage and I often forget I'm watching Anthony Hopkins and think I'm actually seeing Nixon himself. Joan Allen gives a great supporting role as the conflicted Mrs. Nixon and James Woods and Ed Harris help round out this heavy, dimly lit masterpiece.

My favorite biopic to date. Although it is long, it shows a unique look in into one of the most controversial figures of the later half of the 20th century. Nixon is played by the masterful Anthony Hopkins and he doesn't even look anything like him, but you soon forget that and you become entrenched in the character and the man. Nixon's staff were also preformed famously. This picture shows a side of Nixon that many never saw and is evenhanded with the man and neither pictures him as a saint or a monster.

This film is amazing and incredibly under appreciated. One of Oliver Stone's truly best films, and a one of a kind performance by Hopkins as Nixon. And at 3 and a half hours, it never bores. Riveting from beginning to end!
