An well-acted drama. I love Bing Crosby and was impressed by his versatility and poise in this role. Grace Kelly was equally amazing.

I must say, this is fantastic! The title is misleading. Grace Kelly as a not-so-glam wife, Bing Crosby not singing. When I first heard about this the title turned me off right away. Who really wants to see a movie called The Country Girl? Yet, I forced myself to watch this because Grace Kelly recieved an award for it. I was blown away with this fabulous movie! Go ahead and watch!

Both Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby were nominated for Oscars (Kelly won) in this adaptation of Clifford Odets' Broadway play; the film adds several singing sequences for Crosby in what might be his best on-screen performance.

Formidable performance by Grace Kelly, I didn't know she got the oscar for her role in this film until after watching and she surely deserved it! Great performances too by Bing Crosby and the great William Holden. Good movie.
