The Game (1997)

In honor of his birthday, San Francisco banker Nicholas Van Orton, a financial genius and a cold-hearted loner, receives an unusual present from his younger brother, Conrad: a gift certificate to play a unique kind of game. One of the best films that I've seen this year. I thought it had a great plot and 'the game' in itself is a clever concept, with elaborate turns and in the end, it turned out to be a satisfying watch.

Complete masterpiece through and through. Those who can't see The Game for anything less than genius should stop critiquing right now and go jump off a high rise.

Among the tests that Nicholas is asked to take when he interviews at CRS is the MMPI. This is the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory which is one of the most commonly used personality tests in mental health. The test is used by trained professionals to assist in identifying personality structure and psychopathology.
