A very odd comedy/romantic/crime thing from England. The basic idea is two sort of 30something misfits get together in a 'caravan', a trailer, and tour the amazingly beautiful country side of Great Britain, killing folks and stealing their dogs as they go. It's played for humor and pathos and some of the Old Geezers Who Go To The Matinee Alone got up and walked out; it is upsetting I suppose. In addition to the scenery the two leads give understated and wonderful performances. If you into the odd Indi I'd say try to catch it, but be warned, it is off base by a mile.

A road trip like you've never seen. Imagine a vintage Mike Leigh from the 1970s such as "Nuts in May", lots of dark humour and but the focus here is not about social classes, it's about the mental health of the apparently normal couple starring in the film. It starts as a camping trip through England and add a good dose of Tarantino, and voila: a dangerous and funny british cocktail (molotov...). Nice photography and good performances.

How do actors get parts like this? They write them themselves. I loved this, reminded me of Shallow Grave but with a twist of Thelma and Louise. And could there be a better strap line than "Death has a ginger beard"?

Ben Wheatley drew my attention with his last outing 'Kill List', a twisted layered horror film and was very keen to see his follow up. This time around the horror is portrayed through a very dark and sinister British "comedy". The lead characters are delightfully wicked in a story well woven and with a wonderful build up and a brilliant ending. Can't wait to see what Ben will bring us next.
