One of my favorite Kevin Smith movies.......bar-none. It's a satire on religion, but if you really listen, you actually may think twice about what you beleive theologically.I know I did. But aside from that, the movie is total fantasy and just pure fun. ROLL CALL: Linda Fiorentino.....check Ben Affleck.....check Matt Damon......check Chris Rock.......check George Carlin.....check Selma Hayek as a stripper.......check Jay and Silent Bob......check Alan Rickman........check Jason Lee.......check A Big Rubber Shit Monster.....check There ya go,if that list doesn't make you want to at least check this movie out while leaving your senses at the door, then why are you watching any movies at all?

Dogma is the single best film about religion I've ever seen. Highly critical but nevertheless infatuated with the concept of God. Also there is a shit demon. So there's that.

Dogma is a typical Kevin Smith movie, combining his satirical views on religion with his witty humour. With a Kevin Smith-esque cast to carry a hilarious controversial movie I was interested throughout. Affleck and Damon were excellent together, Jason Lee especially in his limited appearance. A must see for all Smith fans this movie is also an additional combination of his previous features, including Jay and SIlent Bob with fantastic nostalgic quotes and references from excellent movies.
