Eat the clown! He's the only human in a greedy and devouring society. No, it's not about an apocalyptic future, it's about our inhuman world that we are living, populated with damaged insensitive animals which are "hunting" and "eating" between each others - a sepia cannibalistic society.

Another great movie of Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amelie...).. but this one looks more like Jean-Pierre met Tim Burton wich mixed his special spice.. Just great!

I loved this film! The characters were so compelling and unique and they fit into this strange darkly-futuristic world. It really was a beautiful yet haunting. The cinematography was just gorgeous and the production design was amazing beyond words. What was awesome is that despite the fact that the whole movie took place in one building, it felt huge yet claustrophobic at the same time.

First discovered this movie while living with crazy art school grads in Colorado back in 1997. This film inspired me to get into films and film making. It amazes me that minds can be so brilliant and creative. I love the French.
